At the Name of Jesus (KING’S WESTON)

A piano/vocal setting of Ralph Vaughan Williams’ hymn tune, KING’S WESTON, here used with the 1870 text, At the Name of Jesus by Caroline M. Noel. This tune is also often used with the 1968 text, When the Church of Jesus, by Fred Pratt Green.

Composed in 1925, this tune is in the public domain in much of the world. However, it is likely not in public domain in the EU, or in any country where the copyright term is life-plus-70 years. Please obey the copyright laws of your country.

Currently, the only recording I have of this setting is a live service recording where the singer, Dr. Daniel Blosser, is singing this setting with Fred Pratt Green’s text, When the Church of Jesus. (That text is still under copyright.) The piano part is exactly the same, however.
