A Rainy Day
$3.99 – $9.99
My fourth-grade student, Logan, titled this piece. She was the first to play it, and she decided it should be called “A Rainy Day.” Perhaps it evokes a fun, playful romp in the rain. There might even be some puddle-stomping in the B section. The technique, appropriate for an intermediate-level student, requires the player to gradually expand the left hand from a fifth to a seventh several different times while the right hand remains mostly in a closed position.

My older students (high school and adult) will love this piece! It sounds sophisticated but still accessible. I love the chromatic bass line. Thank you!
Jeanine Skinner –
Very accessible and engaging piece for any age student on a late elementary-mid intermediate. I look forward to teaching it.
Kumi Bergman –
Very nice! The contrast is great!
