A Rainy Day
My fourth-grade student, Logan, titled this piece. She was the first to play it, and she decided it should be called “A Rainy Day.” Perhaps it evokes a fun, playful romp in the rain. There might even be some puddle-stomping in the B section. The technique, appropriate for an early-intermediate student, requires the player to gradually expand the left hand from a fifth to a seventh several different times while the right hand remains mostly in a closed position.
The piece is sold with a studio license, allowing unlimited printing for students within one’s own studio.
